1. Go for the Red Pandas!
Celebrate 15 years of red panda conservation by running a virtual marathon (or half-marathon) that benefits both your health and the environment. Register now!

The event begins on Earth Day (April 22) and concludes on Biodiversity Day (May 22). One of the prizes is a trip to Nepal to see red pandas in the wild!

2. Inform and Advocate
It is crucial right now to spread the idea that red pandas are not only real, but also distinctive, valuable, and endangered – and that they are not pets. The popularity of this species is rising, and while many people are surely aware of how adorable red pandas are, they may be unaware of how critical it is to fight for their protection! You may also donate for the first panda or simply set up a Facebook page!

3. Make a Contribution in Honor of Earth Day
We feel that conserving red pandas is critical to world biodiversity. How significant is it? Red pandas, on the other hand, play an important part in the protection of the Eastern Himalayan broadleaf forest, which is one of our planet's biodiversity hotspots, supporting over 500 million people! Red pandas are a flagship species that serves as an advocate for the protection of this critical ecoregion.

They are also an indicator species as well as an umbrella species! Red panda protection has landscape-level effects, and like an umbrella, it protects the entire ecoregion – its forests and animals.

Unfortunately, in just 20 years, our globe has lost half of its wild red pandas. There might be as few as 2,500 red pandas left in the wild. Red pandas in Nepal are threatened by habitat degradation and unlawful hunting.

Fortunately, our community-based programs are not only preventing extinction but actually increasing red panda numbers in Nepal!

Donate to the worldwide effect of red panda conservation or symbolically adopt a red panda. Our First Panda Challengers will match any donations made on Earth Day, including those donated for the Run for Red Pandas, dollar for dollar! This unique 'They Need Each Other' Earth Day shirt is available as a free gift (simply pick 't-shirt' at checkout)!

4. Volunteer to be a Panda Guardian! Join our Panda Guardian team of devoted and enthusiastic contributors!
Panda Guardians directly support long-term livelihoods in Himalayan communities dedicated to red panda conservation in Nepal.

You may give anti-poaching investigative training to a group of Forest Guardians for as low as $15 per month.

You can fund the expense of red panda habitat monitoring by a Forest Guardian for $5 per month!
